Rumspringa
Rumspringa
(Pronunciation: rêm-shpring-ê • Hear it)
A term commonly used Amish communities, Rumspringa is a rite of passage that translates into English as "jumping or hopping around". It is a time of growth, exploration, introspection, and choice.
In European German dialects, rumspringa translates to "jump" as well as "to run".
In both cases it involves movement, a change in perspective, and quite literally altitude.
Aerial photography is my exploration of movement and seeing the world from a different perspective; seeing a broad view of singular moments.
More to come.
